Olly 'tiberius' parker's profile & Charts
Olly first cut his teeth properly in the Black and White
bar in Camden Palace (now Koko) at his and Matty’s first attempt
at a club night, called ‘Room at The Top’. At this bar
he can lay claim to be one of the first DJ’s to pick up on
London’s then emerging new rock ‘n’ roll scene
by being one of the first to pick up on The Libertines et al.
Looking back now at the Paddingtons, Thee Unstrung, Kings of Leon’s
second album, The Kooks etc. Olly would like to take this opportunity
to apologize, promise he never played any of the later crap and
he will never make the same mistake ever again.
Since then he has DJed at various venues across the land. Olly‘s
style can be described as ‘annoyingly elitist’ or ‘f*ckin’
commercial’ depending on his mood at the time. He lists Sonic
Youth, The Stooges, The Long Blondes, My Bloody Valentine, Roy Orbison
and Graveyards amongst his current favorite artists though this
changes from week to week.
Alongside DJing, Olly plays in a secret band, is A&R Manager
for a huge multi-national company* and also works for Rough Trade
Records.
